Olympic gymnast to serve as Indy 500 grand marshal

A U.S. gold medal champion for gymnastics in the 2008 Summer Olympics games will be the current year's grand marshal for the Indianapolis 500.  Nastia Liukin, who was the individual all-around gold medalist for the Beijing Summer  Olympics will partake in a parade lap, show up on celebrity lane and be a piece of different 500 Festival occasions, including the Snake Pit Ball.


Liukin said that she can not hold up to be a part of the race. I have extremely affectionate recollections of contending and performing in Indianapolis, and I will really be back again in August for the P&G Gymnastics Championships. Liukin resigned from rivalry in 2012, however stays dynamic in the gymnastics scene. Her visit to Indianapolis in August will be to serve as a TV observer for the P&G Gymnastics Olympics Championships.
