Kyven Gadson is going after the Summer Olympics 2016

Kyven Gadson is going after the Summer Olympics 2016. He announced on Thursday that he will train for the 2016 Olympics.



He said that he don’t want to live with regret or have the thoughts in the back of my mind that he could’ve, he should have down the road

Gadson won the 197-pound NCAA championship in this, his senior year at Iowa State. Gadson, a three-time All-American,was uncertain about training for a potential run for the 2016 Olympics when the season ended. He will try to make the American team at 97 kilograms. Gadson will train in Ames with ISU coach Kevin Jackson.

Female boxer trains for spot in 2016 Rio Summer Olympics

The 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro are hardly a year away and learner female boxer Dani Renee is centered around there. Tom Daley has prepared his plan for Rio Summer Olympics 2016

He is doing loads of different things, strength programmes, to make me jump higher. He looks physically leaner since winning Commonwealth Games gold at Glasgow 2014.

When the discussion of Olympic credentials comes up, the names of Dara Torres, Jenny Thompson and Natalie Coughlin are frequently mentioned first. Russia’s Olympic swimming team finalized

The Russian Swimming Federation finalized its 2016 competition calendar last year, and cemented Moscow as the hosts of its 2016 Olympic Trials. The final dates for the meet that will select Russia’s Olympic Team were not announced, but the meet will be held in April. The Russians held their 2012 Olympic Trials from April 17th-22nd.




Swimming at this year’s Olympic Games will be approximately a week later than they were last year in relative terms. Also at the meet, Russia announced that it would bid to host the 2019 European Aquatics Championships in its Krasnodar region. The far western area has a population of approximately 5 million residents and lies on the Black Sea.


That adds to the growing list of meets that Russia is bidding to host after its 2015 duties at the World Aquatics Championships, and includes the 2017 and 2019 European Short Course Championships and the 2018 and 2019 European Junior Championships.

Olympic gymnast to serve as Indy 500 grand marshal

A U.S. gold medal champion for gymnastics in the 2008 Summer Olympics games will be the current year's grand marshal for the Indianapolis 500.  Nastia Liukin, who was the individual all-around gold medalist for the Beijing Summer  Olympics will partake in a parade lap, show up on celebrity lane and be a piece of different 500 Festival occasions, including the Snake Pit Ball.

It is  going to be a big pleasure for me to be part of that gold team, so I register officially in this letter my desire to represent taekwondo and Brazil in the Rio Olympic Games.


Fernandes stated that he will meet with Silva this week but made clear that, if “The Spider” accepts, the 40-year-old fighter will have to participate in the national trials. As the host nation, Brazil is granted the right to issue four special invitations -- two female and two male -- but last week, CBTKD announced that one of those invites will be given to Lucas Oliveira.


Silva is currently serving a temporary suspension from the Nevada Athletic Commission after testing positive for multiple banned substances following his win over Nick Diaz at UFC 183. He is expected to be formally disciplined at a hearing next month, though any suspension issued by the NAC would not necessarily affect Silva’s Olympic eligibility. Silva’s longtime friend and training partner Antonio Rogerio Nogueira brought Brazil a bronze medal in boxing at the 2007 Pan American Games, the same competition where Ronda Rousey won gold for the U.S. in judo.
