Folkard will join
fellow British archers Amy Oliver, Nicky Hunt and Kieran Slater for the
tournament, which will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan between June 16 and 22. The
home quartet are part 149 other athletes from Team GB, are set to land in Baku
today, where they will join over 6,000 athletes from 50 European nations. There
are 20 sports competing across the 17 days of the event, with Team GB
participating in 19 of these disciplines.
Hunt has won two gold medals
in the compound category at the Commonwealth Games, before changing to the
recurve bow five years ago. The group's sole male bowman, Slater has been
seeking eight years and taking after various events at junior level, is keeping
on making a name for him in the senior game.
